Hello, I'm Dr. Anna
Dr. Anna Flores Locke is an internationally recognized, award-winning author, speaker and counselor educator with over 19 years of experience in the mental health field. She holds a doctorate in counseling and is a licensed professional counselor in New York and New Jersey. Dr. Anna is the founder and owner of Charlandra Counseling Services, a community-centered mental health and infertility counseling practice. As a dedicated instructor at Lehman College in the Bronx, she is committed to advancing multicultural and social justice perspectives in counseling.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Anna is a prominent leader within the American Counseling Association and the author of Body Betrayal: Understanding and Living with Infertility and Introduction to 21st Century Counseling: A Multicultural and Social Justice Perspective. A proud Latina and twin mom from Chicago, she resides in New Jersey and enjoys dancing and beach days.

I struggled with infertility for three years. As a Latina married woman, I should be able to get pregnant, right? During this time, I felt ashamed, inadequate, and silenced by my failure to not get pregnant. Many of us know the pain of feeling different and ashamed.
